What is Neurological Physiotherapy?

Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of individuals who have neurological impairments . At Nicolina’s Physiotherapy Center we specialize in assessing and treating individuals with such neurological impairments to enhance or maximize their functional ability.

A detailed initial neuro assessment is required to identify your physical impairments and goals before your treatment sessions may commence.

A neuro treatment session is able to incorporate a larger range of physiotherapy exercises using different machines to enhance your strengthening program in our specially designed gym. During physiotherapy treatment sessions we are able to teach your family members and or your carers how to assist with your stretching and home strengthening program.

There are more than 600 neurologic diseases. The most common are:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Stroke

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Spinal Cord Injury
